พลอากาศเอก เสกสรร คันธา ผู้บัญชาการทหารอากาศ ประธานกรรมการบริหารโครงการร่วมไทย-สวีเดน ในระดับรัฐบาล พร้อมด้วยคณะกรรมการบริหารโครงการจัดหาเครื่องบินขับไล่โจมตีทดแทน ระยะที่ ๑ (Gripen E/F) เข้าร่วมการประชุมติดตามความก้าวหน้าของโครงการฯ ณ Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) เมืองสตอกโฮล์ม ราชอาณาจักรสวีเดน ในฐานะตัวแทนรัฐบาลไทยตามสัญญาการจัดซื้อ และได้ร่วมหารือกับ Ms. Eva Hagwall, FMV Deputy Director General เพื่อความร่วมมืออย่างต่อเนื่องในอนาคต
โดยโครงการฯ ระยะที่ ๑ จึงมิใช่แค่การซื้ออาวุธ แต่คือ “การลงทุนเชิงยุทธศาสตร์” เพื่อสร้างกำลังรบที่แข็งแกร่ง พร้อมปกป้องอธิปไตยและผลประโยชน์ของชาติต่อความท้าทายด้านความมั่นคง

Strengthening Airpower: Thai-Swedish Collaboration Drives Strategic Investment in Gripen E/F
Air Chief Marshal Sakesan Kantha, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) and Chairman of Joint Steering Committee (JSC) accompanied by the Committee for the Phase 1 Fighter Procurement Program (Gripen E/F), attended a program management review meeting at the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) in Stockholm, Kingdom of Sweden. Representing the Royal Thai Government under the procurement framework, the Commander-in-Chief engaged in high-level discussions with Ms. Eva Hagwall, Deputy Director General of FMV, to ensure continued and sustainable future cooperation.
Phase 1 of the program serves as the cornerstone of Game Changer. The advancement toward a complete fleet is more than an arms acquisition; it is a “Strategic Investment” to build a robust combat force, ready to defend national sovereignty and interests against evolving security challenges.
